One of the questions I’ve been asked a few times in the last week or so, is which platform to use for creating (and then selling) courses.
There are a bunch of them to choose from, and that’s a good thing.
When I first got started creating courses…..the ONLY real option was going the “drip” email route. We all remember the ubiquitous “7 days to learn X” or “5 ways to do Y” email mini courses, and at the time, that was a really viable and valuable way to share expertise.
Thankfully, in 2016, the tools and technology we have available to us are a quantum leap forward.
For example? In my workshop we are building a community marketplace for coaches and consultants, teachers and trainers, authors and artists, and those of you who publish in the self help/mindfulness/personal growth space.
Rather than trying to re-invent the wheel, we are using TEACHABLE, which is a platform that can be used for both courses and community.
It’s also a great option for those of you who want to start to teach your own courses, as most of the people using their software are individual teachers and authors.
But if you are looking to both TEACH and COACH (or sell a service at the same time) there is a great new platform that will allow you to do BOTH in a highly integrated and intelligent way, it’s also aesthetically beautiful, super functional and totally free. (a really great combination in my book)
I’ve been playing with the platform for about 6 months, and have had a bunch of conversations with Spencer (who I believe is the CEO) about some of what I think would improve their software for teachers – and they have been super receptive to implement and entertain lots of ideas.
If you have something you’d love to sell – like your own coaching/consulting – starting today, and want a great looking platform to do it (with integrated calendars/payment/etc) I highly recommend you check it out.
It’s free (no affiliate link!) and their course creation tools (where you can add content and courses for sale on your consulting page) are really the BEST in the industry – bar none.
(creating courses with WITHCOACH is a fun and beautiful process, which can be motivating on it’s own)
Check it out – and if you like it have any questions about setting it up your content or courses, let me know!
