I know I sound like a bit of a broken record here in terms of Tumblr…….
But the truth is, if you are having a difficult time creating, or curating content on your primary blog or website, Tumblr is a fun, fast and free option you really ought to consider.
If you’ve got 30, 40 or even 60 minutes a day.….you can literally build your blog and brand and create copious amounts of creative content with supersonic speed…..simply by following a few simple tags (or keywords) within your dashboard that are important to your or your niche, and then simply commenting (and curating) as much quality content as you can in the time you have available.
To be honest….they don’t even necessarily need to be relevant to your niche, especially if you are trying to grow a hyper local business where you live – simply track the tags for your city, town or local landscape. Super simple….and a great way to make friends, create contacts (and community) where you live, work or play.
Keep curating consistently….and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your blog will grow.
A quick tip? Some of the best content to post to tumblr are quotes, inspirational ideas, and entertaining or inspiring images.
It’s also, as of this month…..the 10th most frequently visited web site in the World, with a global audience of 170 million people. (which if you do the math and carry the 1 – is a whole shitload of people easily entertained by your ideas)
Best of all…..it’s fun.
And let’s be honest. With the Eagles season pretty much over and Hanukkah already 2 nights in the bag, fun is pretty much behind us for the rest of 2012
(unless you think another Patriots super bowl is something to look forward to)
Which I don’t.
