Here is an article I submitted earlier today to one of the article directories on getting traffic via blog comments - truly one of the most dead simple ways of grabbing some fresh eyeballs, regardless of the niche you are playing in. This is obviously an elementary strategy, but one that many people ( myself included) don't work nearly enough…especially if you've got some personality, this really is a great way to grab some influential eyeballs away from a very popular blog and bring them on over to yours…even if just for a few moments. Remember - these particular strategies are exponentially better the further away you migrate from the internet marketing space, the less savvy/jaded the readership, the more effective this is.
In this article we are going to discuss more easy ways to get traffic to your blog. Obviously if you've been reading the cacophony of articles we have submitted on generating a boatload of backsides to your site, and a veritable avalanche of eyeballs to your offer, you surely should NOT be suffering for a lack of good ideas. But, if some of the more advanced tactics are a bit beyond your present comfort zone, read on as I give you ONE dead simple way of getting SUPER easy traffic to your blog starting today. Ready? Great, let's do it!
Care to Leave a Comment?
This is the easiest way to ethically borrow some of someone else's blog traffic, and effortlessly send it over to your own. Simply find 10-15 popular blogs in your own vertical niche, and go take a look. Go find active, currently commented posts, and simply jump in and join in on the dialogue! Almost ALL blog software will ask you for your URL in the comment form field, and once you input it, you'll find a live link leading back from the popular posts, to your own site.
Some quick tricks I teach my clients are these: Nothing says you have to link to your home page. If you have a freebie, a gift, download, or opt in, use THIS url in the form field. This way those who follow your link will arrive at the landing page YOU most value from the standpoint of your site strategy.
And say something interesting, entertaining, or even OUTRAGEOUS. Nothing, ( and I mean nothing!) gets a better click through rate in the comments section than a contrarian perspective. Even better? And outrageously entertaining contrarian perspective..:-) Don't be profane, or belittle the host ( they will most likely delete your comment), rather say something thought provoking in a creative way. You WILL get some new readers from each new blog you do this on….I know I do everyday!
