It’s not often that I come across a site that offers SEO advice that is worth linking to.

For the most part, these sorts of sites (and services) are generally opportunistic in nature in my view, and there is nothing more annoying to me than those who puff  their chests out and state the obvious with great pomp and circumstance.

(i.e. write good content, get links, use friendly anchor text, be nice to your neighbors, don’t hog the bong and vote democratic)

Plus – my view of SEO has largely been a simple one - work hard, create REALLY good content  and the links (and traffic) will follow.

I’ve never really dived deep into the murky and mysterious waters of trying to figure out algorithyms (see – I won’t try to figure out what I can’t spell) that are outside of my intellectual paygrade, and quite frankly, I’ve always felt that those who wasted time trying to devise the perfectly optimized internal linking structures should get out more ( or find a good charity to volunteer for instead). 

After all life is short and if there is a hell, I’m pretty sure some well known SEO names are going be there – and if you’ve ever spent 15 minutes in a seminar with one of these guys talking shop – trust me, you do NOT want to spend eternity listening to some dude with man boobs and a bad combover talking about page rank.

With that said – these guys here are giving great SEO advice that transcends the obvious – and have some free SEO tools that are WELL worth checking out as well. 

It’s funny – because when you look at their feedburner count ( sub 500) you realize that talent, skill and contribution are WAY undervalued and unnoticed by the masses ( the very same reason why I sat on the bench on my high school hoops team as well for 3 years when I should have been raining three’s to an adoring and  cheering crowd every game ).
