In my last post a few days ago we talked about how to separate the fact, from fiction when doing your keyword research – and why MUCH of the intelligence you get from paid tools is arguably entirely misleading, and borderline worthless altogether. Now, that may seem a bit foolish for someone who recommends a few keyword tool affiliate programs on this blog, and ironically these are in fact, the most popular outgoing links on this site.
Oh well. Won’t be the first time I’ve cut off my nose to spite my face, right?
I’ve also talked about a tool that I’ve been using for PPC research that blows EVERYTHING else I’ve used off the table (ispionage) as it provides ALMOST real time results (24 hours out) on ads being run on ANY of your keywords of choice ( plus does a whole host of other very powerful functions that are novel, and almost unfair to your competition whose information is being lifted) and I’m also STILL a member and fan of Spyfu as well – as while the data sets are often old ( 60 days) many of the organic results, and directory style results they’ll give you QUICKLY are so valuable if you are doing hardcore online marketing work – that for the price I’m paying for the service ( I’m still paying the beta prices) it’s almost silly to sacrafice the intelligence to protest the problems with fresher data sets.
( remember – lots of successful PPC campaigns use the same keywords, the same ads and the same landing pages for months on end……and on the organic side, changes in some of the entrenched markets are slow coming, making much of this "old" information as timely today as it was two months ago)
Strategic Content Creation is FREE, easy and the smartest way to get Targeted Traffic Fast!

The real key to this whole process though is what you DO with the information.
Now, two days ago I used the article marketing market as an example of how vastly different the information gleaned from two services can be, (Nichebot and the FREE Google Keyword tool) and how if you were to have trusted the information from the FORMER, you probably would have skipped the niche altogeher. (as the traffic stream looked too light to be profitable)
Instead, using the Google tool, we saw that for the phrase match keyword – "article marketing" there is PLENTY of traffic to target this as a profitable market we want to own. I also mentioned that I knew this going in, as obviously I not only DO alot of content creation and article marketing myself in EVERY niche I’m in – I also WRITE about it extensively here!
With this in mind – I wrote an article on Sept 9th, (today is the 14th – so 5 days ago) and submitted it to Ezinearticles.com – titled something to the effect of – "Article Marketing Tips that work: Discover the Yada Yada Yada, Blah, Blah, Blah". You can view the article marketing tips here.
Within 5 days, this article is now the 2nd position on Google for the search phrase – article marketing tips – which has a competition "results" factor of OVER 2 million, and is already today sending this site VERY targetted traffic for people searching for article marketing tips. You can see the natural listing right here.
Amping it UP a Notch
Now – if I REALLY wanted to amp up the effort here, I would have also written a variation of this article on my own site ( i.e. – here) and submitted that BEFORE I remitted to the article directory ( i.e – rewrite the title a little bit differently – but with same keyword structure, and changing the body text about 30% or so) and then ALSO submitted the same article to the social networking sites as well – Propeller, some of the IM friendly SN sites, maybe Sphinn ( which I honestly find a pain in the ass and often a waste of my valuable time) etc.
The net effect?
You can EASILY own multiple top search results for exact same content in a hurry, often in VERY competitive markets, simply by piggybacking off of the natural "trust" factor these sites already have in the engines.
You could also of course, do the same thing with Squidoo or hub pages and multiply your efforts ( and results) exponentially with elegant and effecient ease.
I do this EVERYDAY in all of my niche markets – I tend to do it less with this site, only because the articles tend to "dumb down" the blog.
In other words – this blog is supposed to be somewhat high minded, and posting articles that say things like – " 5 article marketing tips that work" – or " Make More Affiliate Sales: 4 things You need to know now", etc – just comes off as cheesy and sort of low brow in my humble opinion.
So I try to keep that stuff to the directories, ( which will ALWAYS out rank me anyway) and just piggyback off of their natural traffic stream, and get click throughs from there. I will of course post these articles on my niche sites as above, as I’m less worried about coming off like a dope.

Putting it All Together
The full strategy is sort of like an accentuated version of Bum marketing meets bending the web - it can be a lot of work – but is WELL worth it for free traffic that comes in like magic – and if you build ONE simple site a week in a TARGETTED niche market ( like dating, diet, self improvement, etc) and are focusing on ONE hard core high converting offer per site, using this basic theology, 4 a month – in three months you’ll have 12 sites that should each be making at least one conversion a day – you’ll have lots of content to play with, and a paradigm shifting, hopefully life changing platform to build your business to even greater heights.
Remember – ANYONE can do this.
It has nothing to do with having a special skill, or being smart, or having the latest and greatest tool, tip or strategy. It’s simply about deciding you want to do it – and making it happen. Are there some advanced tips and techniques that can help build better in bound links, some anchor text strategies that may be nice to learn or know? Absolutely. Are they worth putting off getting started until you do?
